Family Visitation Guidelines
Visitation for patients and families will be permitted under the following structure:
Patients may have visitors after they have been in residence 14 days.
Patients may invite two people to visit, including children.
Visitors are to arrive at Seabrook House’s Founder’s Hall between 12:15 and 12:30 for registration. There is a mandatory family orientation session from 12:30 – 1:30 that visitors must attend prior to visiting their loved one. The patients will join their visitors at the end of the orientation session and visit until 2:30. Please understand that visitors will not be permitted to see loved ones unless they have attended the required orientation session.
Visitors are advised to arrive no earlier than 12:15 pm. We also ask that visitors report directly to registration and not linger in cars or the parking lot.
Cell phones are to be left in vehicles.
All visitors are to check in at the front desk; anyone over the age of 17 will be required to provide a photo ID.
Scheduling a visit is the responsibility of the patient. They will contact their hopeful visitors and then inform Family Services of their intended visit. They will be permitted two visitors (including children) on each Saturday following their fourteenth day here. Visits will not be permitted during the initial fourteen days. Family cannot arrange their visitation.
Should someone arrive without being placed on the visitor’s list, they will be asked to leave.
Any items for patients must be clearly labeled and left at the reception desk. Staff will deliver any allowable items to the patients. Please note that gifts of food/beverages are strictly forbidden.
Should visitors arrive early and wish to smoke, a gazebo to the left of the entrance of Founder’s Hall is there for your convenience. Smoking during orientation or the visit will not be permitted.
As your loved one’s treatment and the family’s recovery is very important to us, please take advantage of the services offered such as The Family Matrix Program and or individual family sessions. However, please reframe from speaking with us about specifics of the patient’s treatment during visitation as this is not the appropriate time.
We appreciate your cooperation in our efforts to keep your loved ones safe & focused on recovery!
